Our Founders
Founded by the late Richard McNabb in May 1995, El Dorado Metals has continued the legacy of the McNabb Family in the lead industry that dates back to the late 1890’s. At the turn of the last century, McNabb’s were integral in the construction of one of the first Sulfuric Acid Plants built in the United States at Copperhill, TN, and working in the Viscose and Rayon Mills in the Shenandoah Valley during World War II.
Current owners William and Jeff McNabb represent the 5th Generation of McNabb’s dedicated to this field. While the lead industry has vastly changed over the last 100 years, our commitment to it has not.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of our employees and customers are of the upmost importance to us. All our employees have a minimum OSHA 10 Hour Certification, with Supervisors having a OSHA 30 Certification. All employees are covered under our Medical Surveillance Program. We are determined to oversee all our business activities in a safe and environmentally conscious way. Our Arkansas facilities have been inspected and approved by Government and State agencies for compliance with all governing regulations for our fields of expertise. We are extremely proud that our EMR ratings is one of the lowest in our industry. We recognize the inherent risks associated with our fields of expertise, and constantly strive for improvements in all aspects of our Health & Safety Program.
